Architectural, elevated, worth every step

The furthest stop on the map at about 15 minutes on foot , but the High Line is worth knowing about. The south entrance at Gansevoort Street drops you right onto one of the most thoughtfully designed public spaces in New York: an old elevated rail line converted into a landscaped park with curated plantings, art installations, and views of the Hudson and the skyline. Dogs are welcome on leash. Plan a real walk, not a quick break.
